As most of you will know, moves in a chess game are sometimes
annotated with ?s and !s and many other signs. ? means a bad move
and ! is a good move.
This used to lead to some confusion, for example, "I suddenly had a
great idea, why not play 32.Rg4?" Here the reader may be puzzled for a
while; was 32.Rg4 a good move or a bad move or just a move?

I'm only about a 1400 level player. I play at home on the computer, for lack
of local casual friends to play.
I've been using Chessmaster 9000 because I like the brown & beige 2d
woodgrain set. They didn't even include that set in future versions.
But I'm sick of having to dedicate my CD drive to babysit their game.

Check out B. Gelfand's ratings over time, they're actually getting
stronger as he gets older. Either he's finding more time for chess

I think if i bought another Excalibur machine id save my money and get
the GM one , it is the strongest one they make..
My question is , is it the same program from when it first came out
many years ago or have they updated it ? Lets say in 2005 for example.
I bet they have not ....Then again i have not looked that company up in
a long time either so maybe they might have a stronger chess...

and there were people playing and the guy showed up who i lost to the
second to last time i was there ..We did not play each other .
But i did get a game and i sacrificed my bishop for the H-3 pawn and
he took it with his G - 2 pawn and his King was exposed ..I did it
early in the game but then i made a few mistakes .
I started to move to fast ....We each get 30 min on the clock and i

Fritz and Chessbase leave some sort of time stamp curly brackets
indicating the number of seconds elapsed by the opponent, see below at
the { }.
How do you remove these automatically, to make the game PGN compliant?

The real difficulty about identifying the FSS was ever to compare the
thousands of anon messages with known diction of various writers,
their specific emphasis and even quantitative analysis of varies words
and terms used. But the FSS was careful! Never writing too much,
sometimes borrowing speech from others, and staying within a
relatively small range of words.

Here is an old review of mine which I wrote while at Chessville -
which the author likes to send around comparing it with other
reviewers who sometimes didn't get past the back cover and into the
book, though some reviewers seem to have read the introduction.
