Roberts receives letter from RLI insurance, application denied Chess players who sue are being sued are generally not eligible for personal umbrella insurance. If the umbrella does not contain insurance for what is being sued for, this makes no sense. It really doesn't matter if you are a plaintiff or defendant, you can't get umbrella liability insurance.
