WHAT A CROCK!

SECOND QUESTION: If Mr. Dullea is indeed in the hospital, who is

currently editing Chess Life?

I do not know whether he is, in fact, in the hospital. I'd suggest

determining the accuracy of the claim is the first order of business.

What a crock!

Randy Bauer can find out in about 100 seconds. I hope that Gerry Dullea
is doing fine because he did a lot of good things at the Federation (as
well as things I opposed) and possessed a level of fairness which at
the time I judged as low and which today looks pretty elevated.

As usual, Parr bleats out a response that is shown to be oh, so wrong.
Fools/Parrs tread where angels fear to go, you know. No wonder the guy was
fired by the USCF.

MESSAGE FROM TEMPORARY EDITOR

Please excuse a few facts amid the opinions rampant herein.

Dullea is not hospitalized. He underwent angioplasty very successfully
on a Friday so he could drool on his desk by Monday. He was held
overnight by state law, and the hospital probably made a dollar. As it
happened, his room was only a few doors from Glenn's, so they got to
compare johnnies and talk a little Chess Life.

Petersen is still the editor. Dullea is temping. They communicate.
If the June issue is in Japanese characters, it's Dullea's fault.

Please pray for Glenn's good health to the god of your choice.

Yours for chess and reality,

Gerry Dullea
