Let me put it this way: it's obvious from his various websites that Sam
lives on Planet Sloan. I now have a better idea of that planet's
orbit....

It was a very interesting experience. There is an obliviousness to Sam
that is disarming. He seemed truly baffled as to why you should harbor
any ill will towards him. Because he did not see any reason why you
should be hostile towards him, he had no qualms about flying to Chicago
and playing the match, and no reluctance between games to chat amiably
about the personal details of his life.
