When I try it with the 3-4 men tbs from the server (because it's smaller,

TBCheck and TBGen, which are in the 3-4tbs-folder.

What software is this you are talking about?

The only thing I can think of is that the file *may* be named
differently
on the FTP-server. You have ensured that the download went OK? Either use
TBCheck
or MD5sum -- the md5 data is also on the FTP site.

I'm using Fritz -- I have no problem using either the files that come
from
ChessBase, or files downloaded from the Crafty FTP site.

I'm aware that perhaps it won't work , because it's commercial. But I
don't understand why this ftp-server excists then.

Because that's where Eugene Nalimov releases the files. Or was ... I'm
not sure
what the status is today.

Well, I can't get it to work, unfortunately. The only thing I can think of
is, that it may have something to do with the windows version I'm using
(x64bit).
I use Shredder9/Fritz8, so it should have been allright, but it's not.
It would have been nice , though.
Thanks for the effort.
