Tony Rook - The sentimental winner, but come on. I like the guy, but he's been
learning on the job in a pretty brutal fashion. He often has absolutely nothing
to contribute in terms of background on the players, since he doesn't know any
of them, and he's too weak to really give deep insight on the games.
That being said, he invented a really awesome brand new medium for chess
journalism- the radio. He's more of a pioneer than a journalist, but maybe for
that he should win?

Tony Rook is hardly a "pioneer", and he didn't invent a "brand new
medium for chess journalism" - chess has been broadcast many times by
radio. I think he qualifies as a broadcast journalist, however.
