Default chess clock recommendation

wrote:

I'm looking for a recommendation for a chess clock to
get as a present for a nephew. He's used to analog but
I think I'd like digital to allow for increment play. He isn't
active in USCF as far as I know. I'd also like to know a
good place to get it, reliably, and well, uh, fast. :-)
I haven't kept up with the market and I haven't seen a
discussion of them in a while.

Get a Chronos digital chess clock. These are the best IMHO.

www.chesshouse.com sells them for $99 each. That looks
like about as good a price as you will find. I don't know
anything about that vendor so you should look around. Maybe
Amazon.
