Default Home stretch - Kingston says *something*

7 Oddly, Dr. Blair has determined to utilize my comment
7 as some sort of support for his attack on Phil Innes, and

_
Nonsense. In my 10 Jan 2007 22:47:43 -0800 note
(reproduced below), I wrote absolutely nothing to indicate
that helpbot supported my "attack on Phil Innes". I
indicated that helpbot did not seem to have a clear
recollection of the ear-bending quote. That is what helpbot
itself indicated. I supplied the ear-bending quote. That is
all.

7 he does so by his usual, selective cut-and-paste method.

7 That's strange! I thought Dr. Blair was supporting me by
7 referring to the series of 'purported' e-mails via an
7 illustration of the bent-ear anecdote, which are even
7 acknowledged by Tinker Taylor.
7
7 And though this is the only reason Tinker Taylor
7 mentioned in his message that would tempt him to go, it
7 conclusively proves me wrong and indeed insane in
7 saying that this is the only reason Tinker Taylor would go,
7 because Tinker Taylor did not use those exact words,
7 'only reason'. ...

Some quotes from the past:

"Taylor Kingstons wrote me on 3/17/2002

'Interestingly, Hanon Russell met with
Niro just a few days ago. Due to the
recent expansion of ChessCafe's and
Russell Enterprises' activities, the
company recently moved into new
offices, and had a "grand opening"
reception, which several dignitaries,
including Niro, attended. I was invited
too, but couldn't make the long drive.
If I had gone, I might have been able to
bend Niro's ear a bit on Evans.'

"... [The plain statement] was, 'I might have
been able to bend Niro's ear a bit on Evans.'
_
... There are no two senses to it, in his own
words it was the only reason that would
tempt Kingston from his northern fastness.

"... Nowhere in or near the above quote is
there anything indicating an 'only reason.'
This 'only reason' idea is purely a figment of
his imagination. ..." - Taylor Kingston

I am still waiting for Phil Innes to tell us:

"... Where is there anything to indicate that
Taylor Kingston 'mention'ed all of the reasons
'that would tempt him to go'? ..." - Louis Blair
