Default Home stretch - Kingston says *something*

7 Nonsense. In my 10 Jan 2007 22:47:43 -0800 note
7 (reproduced below), I wrote absolutely nothing to indicate
7 that helpbot supported my "attack on Phil Innes". I
7 indicated that helpbot did not seem to have a clear
7 recollection of the ear-bending quote. That is what helpbot
7 itself indicated. I supplied the ear-bending quote. That is
7 all.

7 THE BUTCHER STRIKES AGAIN
7
7 Those last two postings by Louis Blair perfectly
7 demonstrate the point I made earlier about his
7 cut-and-paste activities having the result -- whether
7 intentional or the result of his own ineptitude -- of
7 sometimes *butchering* what others have written.
7
7 The fact remains, no matter how hard Dr. Blair tries
7 to distort it, that all of my comments related to what was
7 being discussed at the time, to Phil Innes' complaints
7 about the subject of Taylor Kingston's emails conflicting
7 with his public position, and in particular, the subject of
7 denying the rights of certain authors to defend
7 themselves at the ChessCafe Web site.

_
I am not denying or trying to contradict a relationship of
helpbot's comments to the complaints of Phil Innes about
rights of authors and so on. I make no pretense of
dealing with everything that was in the 10 Jan 2007
21:10:25 -0800 note of helpbot.

helpbot wrote (14 Jan 2007 22:14:13 -0800):

7 Contrary to what The Butcher wrote, there is certainly
7 nothing "natural" about twisting this into something it is
7 not; into such as his distorted mess whereby I had
7 "forgotten" a post which did not even discuss the matter
7 in question. This is utter nonsense from Louis Blair.
7 The Google archives will show *precisely* what I had
7 been discussing with Phil Innes, and it certainly was
7 nothing to do with Dr. Blair's peculiar butchery.

_
Helpbot includes no specifics to back up its charge.
"Forgotten" is not a quote of me in this discussion.
Here (again) is the 10 Jan 2007 21:10:25 -0800 note.

Phil Innes has already posted material from
the emails. Remember the ear-bending
quote?

_
Can't say as I do. Did PI actually already
post what he and TK are fussing over? An
email in which TK supposedly repudiated
the rights of certain writers to defend
themselves against criticism on some Web
site? The phrase 'bend his ear' rings familiar."
- helpbot (10 Jan 2007 21:10:25 -0800)
_
I perceived the note as indicating that helpbot did not
precisely remember the ear-bending quote, and,
consequently, I undertook to remind helpbot about
how the quote went. I saw no need to bother with
helpbot's other questions which helpbot could answer
for itself without further assistance from me.
