This is small and free.
But, it is difficult to use.


It is also *very* slow.

It's an interpreter / simulator, and as such it has about a 100 to 1 slow
down.

He could also try Qemu or VirtualBox. Both are emulators that virtualize
the hardware and can run the program on the real cpu. As such, you can get
much closer to normal performance.
