For a minute I was worried that The Annotated Alice was out of print. My
fears were unfounded, fortunately.

As a child, Alice never held my interest. Not even Disney helped. Since
discovering The Annotated Alice, I can recite Jabberwocky in my sleep
because it makes perfect sense.

I agree: I've *always* disliked abridgements, and these days I refuse to
listen to them either
