Default Is there World Chess Competition for Chess Programs?

You may want to see to it that your program can play
by all of the rules of chess first. To get a better
estimate of your program's strength (or lack thereof)
I decided to have one of my employees, who's strength
I would estimate at roughly 1400 from games played
over lunch and such, take on the "Mighty GitClub".

As expected he was outplayed tacticly in the early
going but was able to overcome the disadvantage by
trapping GitClub's Rook in the middle of the board in
a drawn position. It is at this point that it became
clear that GitClub fails to obey both three-fold repetition
and 50 move rules and makes no allowance for a
player to make these claims.

Given my expectation that GitClub's King prefers to
live a hermit lifestyole in a distant corner I coaxed him
into sacrificing his rook for a pawn rather then resigning
to get the debacle overwith.

Needless to say he once again reached a position with
three-fold repetition that GitClub did not honor. Draw?
Against GitClub you can't get no stinkin draw, you must
stay forever playing the same two moves agains this
fine software!
