In one of the most preposterous, ridiculous and absurd claims
imaginable, Joel Channing claims that Polgar has 300,000 kids in her
program.
However, there is no evidence that Polgar has any kids in her program.
Polgar has no schools, no students and no program anywhere, as far as
anybody has been able to find out.
Here is what Joel Channing wrote in the BINFOS:
"We currently have five executed endorsement agreements. The number
of
children recently reported as receiving chess instruction from our
partners'
curricula and/or participating in their other programs is as follows:
"AF4C 25,000
"Berkeley Chess School 5,000
"Kasparov Foundation 75,000 - 100,000
"Kid Chess 6,000
"Susan Polgar Foundation 300,000
Why is that so preposterous, ridiculous and absurd? How many children
do you think have received chess instruction from the Susan Polgar
Foundation?
What is the correct number, Mr. Sloan?
zero
Why should I believe you, Sam. Didn't you claim to be a former rated
USCF master,
and a current USCF rated expert in front of a camera? Perhaps if you
had received
instruction from Ms. Polgar on how to play chess, you might be able to
achieve your
dream of being a USCF Master.
Susan Polgar does more for chess in one day than you have done in your
entire
life, Mr. Sloan. What has Sam Sloan ever done for chess in the US?
