I was never convicted of anything.

Do you care to deny that you are a former president of the Sexual
Freedom League, or that you, in your later years, attribute that to
youth folly? Or do you still have the same views now as you do then?
If the last is true, do you care to explain how someone with your
views should have anything to do with professional chess and any chess
organizations?

I was the President of the Sexual Freedom League in 1966-1967 and I
have the same views now as I did then.

What is your problem?

Sam Sloan

Following Thorne's departure, a rift developed. One faction wanted
members to have open meetings and discussions about sex but not
actually to engage in sexual relations. The other wanted to continue
the tradition of orgies. The non-sex branch eventually came to be
headed by Dutch immigrant Alida Reyenga, whereas the pro-sex group was
headed by Sam Sloan, a student at the University of California at
Berkeley.

So you support the practice of group orgies?

Go ahead and put that on a political petition that you should get back
into any role as an executive of the U.S Chess Federation, "in order
to clean it up". Let's see where that gets you, particularly since
they are supposed to be friendly to children.

My problem is that you believe you are on a single-handed mission to
"destroy" the U.S Chess Federation "in order to save it". You have
expressed this mentality on here. And your lawsuit is against the
Chess Federation:

I can understand if you have personal issues with some individuals
tied with the Chess Federation. But if your lawsuits are in any way a
power play ploy to get back in charge, it would be interesting to see,
with your views, how far you would get into obtaining power.

This is of personal interest to me, because I am interested in
promoting abstract strategy games, and any adverse issues happen to
make what I am working on more difficult.
