Channing claims that Polgar has 300,000 kids
Ron is correct.
It was at Channing's insistence that the USCF Purchase "Internet
Insurance". In 2006, I made a motion that the Internet insurance be
canceled. My motion lost. It is true that a majority voted for it, but
that was because Channing was extremely insistent on it.
It was also Channing's idea to hold the "Retreat" to Florida. At the
time it was first announced, I assumed that Channing was going to pay
for it because he had just gotten elected on the basis of being a very
wealthy man. No vote was taken and I am sure that the board would
never have voted for this.
I and many other USCF members were stunned and shocked when we learned
that the USCF had to pay for it.
At the last Executive Board meeting, Bill Goichberg proposed that the
Internet Insurance be canceled. All board members were in favor of
this, except for Channing who said that he would resign from the board
if the Internet Insurance were canceled. The other board members have
been treading lightly about this threat or promise. We are waiting to
see what will happen next.
