Default The List of the Blind Monkey

"Preening"? Have you confused the Monkey with Alekhine's Parrot?

Assuming, for the sake of argument, that the List of the Blind Monkey
is critical of Truong, rather than the idiotic arguments presented by
supporters in his defense, how does one "preen" over the superiority
of someone being criticized?

You seem unable to grasp that
some people might honestly not share your fanaticism. About half of
your bullet points could be readily demolished as mere spin,

And do you find Gulliver's Travels offensive because there really are
no little bitty men running around like that?

Your comment is about as intelligent as criticizing a caricature
because the body proportions don't match the photograph. To argue
point by point misses the, uhhh, the point.

You should watch less TV.

but I'll
confine myself to:

(35) Online harassment is not a crime and even if it is, it's rarely
prosecuted. So why worry about this one?
(36) Online harassment might be illegal, but the laws are obsolete. So
you fogies can just shut up.

If what was done was really a crime, find a federal prosecutor willing
to seek an indictment. If you can't, then take your own advice from
#36.

First, the monkey has no standing.

Second, if you'd been paying attention, you'd realize that his
supporters were presenting variants of this as serious arguments for
dropping the whole thing -- like, if no actual *crime* were
prosecuted, then drop the issue of appropriate behavior on the part of
an EB member.
