Susan Polgar is scheduled to appear in the case Polgar vs. USCF for a
deposition in Lubbock, Texas on June 30. Just about nobody seems to
believe that she will actually show up and testify. Here are three of
the possibilities:
1. Polgar appears and answers questions for the full scheduled period
of her deposition.
2. Polgar does not show, presenting an excuse via her counsel. For
example, Susan is sick, her child is sick, she is having her period or
some similar reason.
3. Polgar appears and at some point a phone call is received
announcing an emergency of some sort requiring her to leave her
deposition.
4. Susan appears and, after identifying herself, takes the Fifth.
As a party to this case, I have a right to be there and to ask her
questions. After all, she sued me, so I have the right to know why she
is suing me.
However, the probability of either number 2, number 3 or number 4
happening is so high and the probability of number 1 happening is so
low that I am not going to waste my time and money flying to Texas
just to be there.
If, contrary to all expectations, Susan actually does show up and
testify, I can fly there later.

It is past June 30; did she appear?
Jerry Spinrad
Yes. She did.
Other than that, I have no details.
