Of course, a cut in dues greater than $10/$5 per adult/youth would cost
Chess HQ more than the Mensa treatment I favor.
One way or the other, the revitalization of adult chess will cost HQ
considerable money.
It is a fair guess that Chess HQ will make no such investment or
concession. In time organized adult rated chess will become just a New York
area thing.. maybe with Chicago and Los Angeles hanging a while, too.
Of course, to those guys that is "national" enough and the rest of the
country doesn't matter.. and never did matter.
