I don't doubt Mr. Haas' personal numbers, but in general, I have found
most ICC ratings to be 10-20% higher than USCF ratings. Of course,
most people are playing much faster games under much different
conditions on ICC, so the comparisons may not be fair.

Indeed, indeed Mr. Kiddon - witness for example my recent experience on
icc. 50+ games to my credit, (standard 2 {12} - is there any other blitz
standard? ) give or take the odd 'abort' & fillialy suggested draw to a
paralysed patzer, only to be seized by a 1750 icc 'name' & shown the
business. Absolute chagrin, to be put down by such a 'weakie', however
I'm not easily phased & rattled off another 15 or so wins before closing
my guest session..
