My copy of MY SYSTEM (published by McKay) has Nimzovich playing
in two tournaments in London in 1927, with scores of (+7 -2 =2)
and (+7 -0 =3). The former has been confirmed by several sources,
while the latter seems to be a mistake. Any ideas what the +7 -0 =3
was supposed to refer to?

It was an Imperial chess club tournament, held
Oct 10-24.

I have a book describing Nimzovich playing in a tournament
sponsored by the "British Empire Club" on Oct 10-24, with Nimzovich
losing to Marshall and Winter, drawing with Tartakower and Reti to
tie for first. Perhaps Nimzovich also played at Hastings?

Mr Hyde is essntially correct. Nimzovich did play in two events,
sponsored by the "British Empire Club" and by the "Imperial Chess Club".
However, the October 10-24 dates are for the Empire Club event,
where he scored +7-2=2.

I was misled by the Oxford Companion's omission of the "Imperial
Chess Club" +7-0=3 result from a list of Nimzovich's "notable victories."
