Default Correct Results for Birmingham 1858

results given in standard sources seem to be incorrect. I was

2-0 given in the Oxford Encyclopedia of Chess Games

One possibility is that they don't report the same thing. I assume
draws were not counted, in which case games played and games scored
would be differnet.

A similar case occurs in old tournaments where someone dropped out
after, say, half the game, and his games are dropped, instead of being
defaulted. You can then find scores from that tournament that can't
be found in the crosstable. Not until a detailed report is examined
is the seeming discrepancy explained.
