Hi.

I am in the middle of a discussion with one of the IECC (International
E-mail Chess Club) directors and he is telling me that their rating
system favors one color over the other one.

For example:

White's rating: 1586
Black's rating: 2131

Game result: 0 - 1

New ratings:

White's new rating: 1584
Black's new rating: 2132

Now, players switch color. However, the highest rated player still wins:

White's rating: 2131
Black's rating: 1586

Game result: 1 - 0

New ratings:

White's new rating: 2131
Black's new rating: 1586

Different results !!!

Is that common with other rating systems?
