Default Sicilian Books

(DDEckerslyke) wrote in message . com...
Started playing again a couple of years ago on the internet and
recently joined a good OTB club. I'm now at the level where I'm not
hanging pieces and I can see some short combinations etc. (My ICC
blitz is an astronomical 1600.) Anyway, I used to play the French, my
rationale was that after e6 White is on my ground,

That's what's so great about the French Defence!!

the problem is that
I reckon I might be better off playing open games

Maybe..maybe not! Try to bear in mind that the Sicilian is
considerably riskier than the French and Black's position is (usually)
much "looser" than in the French....Black *must* counter-attact
immediately or else.....!
warm regards, GreyHipster

so I'd like to try
the Sicilian. Is there a good book that covers the Sicilian in
general? Or do I need to look for a book on the Sveshnikov, a book on
the Rossolimo, etc.

Any advice gratefully received.

cheers
