Sam, you'll need to create an cable interface between your tape player and
your computer. Chances are you'll need to buy a third-party box to do this.

Then you use software to make the conversion, a package like Total Recorder.

I strongly suggest you DON'T convert to Real Player format...that
proprietary product is riddled with scumware. Convert to mp3 instead, it's
smaller, faster, and everyone can play it regardless of platform.

Thank you very much. I went to that site, downloaded Total Recorder,
paid the registration fee and installed it.

However, the problem is that it sems to have over-written my CD and
DVD players. I can get no sounds from a CD or a DVD. Yet, my sound
card is working fine.

Any ideas??
