Keep in mind that Fischer was 16 when he wrote this book. The annotations
are not nearly of the depth found in MSMG, but nevertheless reflect a
completely mature sensibility. Twenty-five of its 94 pages of games are
unannotated games from the 1958 Interzonal. The dedication is "To my chess
teacher, Carmine Nigro."
I've had the book since 1958, I believe, shortly after it was
published. I think the Interzonal games were added at the last
minute. I suspect a fair amount of the verbiage and organization owed
something to cooperation/collaboration with John W. Collins.
