Default Has anyone played the chess computer called IVAN ??

In article ,
says...
Thanks for the info , not sure if it's IVAN # I or 2 but it say's the
elo is 2,000 .
ill have to look but since you said it is a good deal if it is number
2 i think ill get it....If it's the number one then i am not sure ...
i will go look today ( Monday )
I am just board with my Talking Chess Challenger from i think I982 ??
It still works good and i have all the pieces and instructions so i
will give it to a kid who likes chess.....

Occasionally I receive an extra chess computer from Excalibur and I often
give it away to a club to use as a "door prize" for one of their
tournaments. I'm not into collecting chess computers....I'd rather see
them used by someone else than gather dust in my room.

My guess is that the Ivan you are referring to is the newer one. But in
any case, the Elo 2000 is a bit of a marketing exaggeration. They also
make a similar claim on the packaging with Alexandra. But I assure
you,Alexandra is not any tougher than 1800 Elo. (In my humble opinion.)

My Alexandra review can be found at:
