chess burnout

Yes this is common, happened to me, and others i've read about. Just take
a
break don't play, go to the beach, relax, whatever you want. You'll get
your
passion for it back and when you do, even if you are a bit sloppy at first
you'll catch up to where you were very quickly. I find I often play a
stronger game after taking a break rather than to continue with a muddled
mind and a hatred for the game. If you love it you'll do better anyway.
So
don't fret over it. So you take a week or two weeks, it won't matter.
Chess is a very demanding mistress, like most arts or sciences. Getting
away
from it too can give perspective and allow some things to sink into our
subconsciousness as we process them, make them more natural.
Glad to see that others have perservered through this, and to see the
positive that can come from the break from chess play..
Thanks!
