As some of you know, I enjoy writing brief biographies of players, preferably
from the mid-19th century. It is a good time for me to write now; just back
from a productive trip, with some summer break still left. My last such
attempt
was on a player I had never heard of (Isaac Trabue) proposed by Anders Thulin
in
this newsgroup. Since I enjoyed the subject last time, does anyone have a new
person to propose?

How about Preston Ware Jr. (1821-1890), a key member of the "Mandarins of the
Yellow Button" of Boston?
