Almost everyone knows that Fisher is two kiwis short of a fruit basket. Re
his chess, and the hoopla about it, think about Alekhine. His chess skills
were as spectacular as far as I am concerned, yet no one here seems to
spend
that much time over his views or activities outside of chess. But,
Fisher...oh yeah...Never mind that his views over certain ethnic groups
are
no more out of line than supposedly Alekhine's were.



This is because Fischer is more recent. Hopefully, in 60 years, only his
chess will be discussed. It's like Elvis Presley or John Lennon. Their music
is important to me. Their political opinions and lifestyles are no more
important to me than the nutjob living in the house across the street from
me.
