Default Ebony Chess Set, Drueke Board FS

For Sale:

Boxwood and Ebony, Staunton Chess Set, 3.75" King, 1.563"
diameter base, weight 53 oz., in solid walnut box. This is
not an "ebonized" set. The black pieces are ebony wood. Has
one extra white bishop because the slit in one of the
bishops was slightly miscut, and I had it replaced. The
extra bishop was not counted in the weight.

....and...

Drueke Walnut and Aspen Chess Board, 21" x 21", solid block,
2" squares, 2.5" walnut border.

Board same as:

Pictures of my set, taken 02/17/2004, 1600x1200 JPG mode
using my Coolpix 950, cropped to reduce KB size:

$250 + shipping (whatever the actual costs are).

Check the prices for an ebony (not an "ebonized") set on
http://www.shopuschess.org/ (for a 4" king; mine is 3.75"
king) and you'll see the least expensive set is ~$400
*without* the board.

Either reply here or email me at

I'm located ~15 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, PA.
lycos.co.uk is my free (100MB) hosting site. Sure uploading
and file maintenance is usually like trying to push rope,
but 100MB is 100MB. shrug
