What really happened to my candidate's statement, which has now been
confirmed from two independent sources, is that my statement was not late. It was in production in Chess Life Magazine, until Beatriz Marinello ordered the Chess Life staff to remove it from the magazine. The claim that it arrived late was just a cover story to conceal what really happened. Sam Sloan |

I have another theory.
The dog ate it. You don't have a dog? Never mind that. The dog ate it. -- Tom Klem "How'd they get like this?" ---Monkey Planet, Pierre Boulet "Sam Sloan" wrote in message ... If that's the case, then I suggest you ask the USCF to produce the
postmarked envelope that proves you were late, or else sue them. While I would be surprised if they did something as stupid and self-serving as illegally suppress your statement merely out of spite, I would....well, wait, a minute...stupid and self-serving, the USCF board, illegal suppression....oh, never mind. This latest USCFiasco is really telling on the those who run the
organization as well as those who wish to run for the 'esteemed' EB. Slates, petty political games, lawsuits, the 'move'....basically a lot of nonsense - unless a few of these gamers are making some serious $$ on the side and the wannabes wanna piece of the action. If that's the case, then the greed of the few will eventually bring down the entire mess. The one constant thus far has been the screwiness and disservice to the members of this 'esteemed' federation. seriously, Aside from playing rated games OTB, why would anyone who enjoys chess want anything to do with the USCF? What are the benefits of being a member of the USCF? Rod |

What are the benefits of being a member of the USCF?
None. Zero. Zip. And once you get over the ratings fetish (and let's face it, who's rating on this board has moved more than 10% in the past ten years), you wonder about that $50 a year. Don't Renew. Send a Message. Let the dinosaur go extinct. TMB "arodobop" wrote in message oups.com... I did just that quite a few years back, Masked. Never regretted it.
There's no value whatsoever to a USCF membership. -- Irvin ------------------------- http://www.pixel69.com "The Masked Bishop" wrote in message . ..
