Can anyone tell me what I need to do to reach the right place on ICC to
input the game? It would be nice if I could do a dry run so I'm not trying to figure it out as the game starts. I do play at ICC so I have some familiarity. Vince |

Mr. Hart:
If you want to try a dry run, why don't you log onto the GRUDGE05 ICC account, type "help broadcast," and try following the directions in the help file. (Since you are actually examining the game you broadcast, "help examine" will also get you some useful info). I think setting the game information (using the "tag" or "setwhitename/setblackname" commands) and the relaying of the game moves is fairly straightforward, but getting the clocks to run right requires a bit of doing, so I would recommend you try it out before game time and ask an admin if you can't figure it out. Also don't forget to use the "mexamine" command to make one of the observers an examiner during the game, so that if you get disconnected the game won't be lost. Good luck! - Geof Strayer |

I do play at ICC so I have some familiarity. You should try to have another person entering the ICC moves. You can deputize that person to watch player A while you accompany player B to the restroom. You wouldn't want anyone pulling an extra queen out of his sleeve while the opponent and arbiter are away. But if it's player A's move and his clock is running, he should be allowed to ponder at the board, not leave with B and the arbiter. |

I actually might watch this thing. I'm an ICC'er, so why not?
I'm picking Sam Sloan to win... based mainly on his fearlessness at the board. Buuuut... what do I know? Not much. Old Haasie |
