Sam, you left out a huge list of authors from Hardinge-Simpole! Hanon
boycotts them because of Keene's financial interest in the firm. This
list includes Golombek, Alekhine, and other champions.

Karpov's books are old and were ghost written, so no great loss.. They have
2 books by Keene. Parr, Schultz, and Sloan combined don't know possess
enough information about chess to write a pamphlet, much less a book.

It is strange though that there are no entries under "Schiller."

OUT OF STOCK?

It is true as far as I can tell. Larry Evans is not on the list and is
purportedly carried by Chesscafe - but when I inquired it so happened
that his books were out of stock -- Phil Innes

The blacklist defenders note that GM Larry Evans is now off the list,
which appears true. But it is equally true that it took months of
attacks to open this breach. Eric Schiller's work and that of other
Cardoza authors is forbidden, and my books are also verboten, including
the USCF-ACF 1996 Chess Book of the Year with the late Arnold Denker,
The Bobby Fischer I Knew and Other Stories.

Ray Keene was also blacklisted. I don't know whether the
constant hooha has got him back onto the USCF shelves.

Edward Winter's books published by Hanon Russell probably will
stay in stock.

algebraic editions for $17.95 and $16.50 . As for the
editions sold by Hardinge-Simpole for more than twice
those prices: "Hardinge Simpole Chess Classics Series
.... Since these classics are reproductions, a brief
introduction to Descriptive or English Notation is included,
where the book was not originally published in Algebraic
Notation."
