Default List of Authors Banned or Blacklisted by USCF Sales

I have posted on Wikipedia a List of Authors Banned or Blacklisted by
USCF Sales. It is a very distinguished list, which many authors would
aspire to be on. However, the list is undoubtedly incomplete. I would
welcome any additions to the list. For example, I am not sure whether
Bobby Fischer is on the list or not. Here is the list:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chess_L...y_USCF_S ales

Authors Banned or Blacklisted by USCF Sales

* Anatoly Karpov
* Ron Henley
* Raymond Keene
* Eric Schiller
* Larry Parr
* Don Schultz
* Sam Sloan

Note: USCF Sales will sell a book by any of the above authors as long
as there is a co-author on the USCF Sales Approved List. For example,
it does sell books by Eric Schiller which are co-authored by John L.
Watson, because Watson is on the list of authors approved by Hanon
Russell, the owner of USCF Sales.

Why is Karpov on the list?

Have you any proof for this?

Sure...

However, the list is undoubtedly incomplete.

And very doubtful.

* Raymond Keene

They sell one of his books.

* Ron Henley

His books simply seem to be out of print. Amazon offers them only over
resellers.

Where is the source for such a list? Arnold Denker is not on this list?
He co-authored a book with Larry Parr - and still it is not sold by the
USCF-shop

For example,
it does sell books by Eric Schiller which are co-authored by John L.
Watson,

Which one?

because Watson is on the list of authors approved by Hanon
Russell, the owner of USCF Sales.

Where can this list be seen?

Greetings,
Ralf

Only in Sam's imagination.

Taylor Kingston is involved with USCF Sales and is the perpetrator of
the blacklist. Naturally, he will deny that it exists. However, it is
easy to veryify that there is auch a blacklist. Just call USCF Sales
and try to order a book by any author on the blacklist. You will find
that you will not be able to order the book. Yet, call Barnes & Noble
or any reputable bookstore and you will find that you will be able to
purchase books by these authors.

This is simply not true. There is a book from Keene for sale from the
USCF shop, books by other authors are simply out of print. Take your
own books: Amazon only has two books by you listed. Both are only
available over sellers and both are not related to chess. Barnes&Noble
has some books in the catalogue, but doesn't offer them for sale. You
can get them only used or from sellers who happen to have some copies
in their stock.

Some things are indeed remarkable: the fact, that not a single book by
Karpov is for sale, or the one or other book from authors from your
list.

But the main thing is: you can not provide a definitive source or any
clear proof of your claim. This means, this might be interesting for a
discussion here or for putting it on your homepage. But it definitely
does not belong into Wikipedia. Only proven and established facts
should be there. This is not the case with this list. That's why it
has to be deleted. You can do it yourself, or I will do it.

You are clearly misusing Wikipedia to provide your own point of view or
promoting your own person, here and in other articles. Please stop it.
It's annoying and it's childish.

Greetings,
Ralf

I imagine USCF as well as many of the people who are subjects of
Sloan's "biographies" in Wikipedia have cause for a libel suit.

It is true as far as I can tell. Larry Evans is not on the list and is
purportedly carried by Chesscafe - but when I inquired it so happened that
his books were out of stock.

Sam, I must thank you for the best laugh I've had all day. Reminds me
of the time Goran Tomic claimed I was a communist agent.
I work as a systems engineer for a major financial data processing
and software company. I have no involvement with USCF Sales, except to
buy a book from them now and then. No one there consults me on what to
stock in the catalog. I have never "perpetrated" any "blacklist" of
chess authors, or of anyone else.
I note that first you said the "blacklist" was Hanon Russell's idea,
now you say it's mine. Who else will be added to *your* blacklist?
Stay tuned for the next thrilling episode of "The Rifleman" starring
Sam in the role made famous by Chuck Connors, but with one major
difference -- with Sam the muzzle points his way.
