rise to them. But his current behavior is more of the risible sort!

Therefore the potential exists to do well, but the warm-up period is
uncertainly beneficial to anything that furthers us, at least inasmuch as it
is far too speculatory, and, it must be said, mean in spirit.

As a private punter he was at liberty to settle what old scores he felt
moved to contest - but I shall make this difference with you, that as a
public figure those things are indulgences.

To be fair to Sloan, I never saw a politician in real life in the UK or US
that looked like they could lead the country. But on taking office, the
sober responsibility to act for all evoked an opportunity to intelligently
reform one's perspectives - this is almost universally observable. The
opportunity now exists, and it is no measure at all that others have not
taken it.

But this is not my test, it is his.

I disagree with the notion that Sam fails to
understand the politics of his position. I think he
has the reality figured pretty well: the insiders
want to jolly him along for a year, thence into
obscurity after he disappoints his supporters.
AND/OR: the insiders will try to provoke Sam
in some fashion to provide fodder for banning
him from Board meetings.

To be fair to Sam, he is not yet on the Board and
will not be in much of a position to get financial data
until after he joins the Board at the U.S. Open in the
second week of August.

Sam need not fear losing votes by 6 -1. Such
results will not necessarily help the incumbents.
What he must fear is never losing votes by 6 - 1. Lev
Alburt lost a record number of such votes and left the
Board as one of its most respected members. Moreover,
several key sections of Lev's agenda later became
Federation policy.

Since I have known Paul Troung it is obvious that the loser met Paul
personally and was a total jerk and Paul let him have it. Maybe Sam
Sloan realized that Paul wasn't a pushover or maybe the real faker tried
to push Paul around and got reamed. As for accusing Paul as being the
fake Sam Sloan is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. This clown who
has been faking posts has got to be the one who posted that Sam Sloan
said terrible things about Kamsky. Like I said Sam is a degenerate but
he would never say things like that about Kamsky. But this fake poster
must have met Paul for him to post like this. And Paul embarrassed him.
And probably deservedly so.
