I agree that the free speech of usenet is a great thing but producing a
coherent community usually requires a certain degree of moderation and
consensus.
My work in software in the past proved to me that you MUST define your goals
and then stand up to the poisonous people and fix or remove them. Period.

After removing a poisonous person, the bozo will allege conspiracies and
evil cartels and cabals. Its a pathetic thing to witness but a little funny
too.
