I know it's no substitute for playing, but I'm a big reader when it comes to learning new things, so I like having books on the subject as well. I have read Learn Chess: A Complete Course and am reading Logical Chess: Move By Move. The former I found extremely helpful in learning the basics, but at the same time very tedious with all the move lists. It wasn't exactly "readable" at times...

CHESS REDESIGN – V 0.1 Consider the following idea. You arrive at your favorite chess hangout and see someone new sitting in a corner. He appears to be an out-of-towner. You go over and invite him to play. He counters your proposal with an offer to play a new type of chess. Somewhat puzzled, you agree. You ask him to explain what he has in mind.

The persons who came forward with evidence are not telling the truth. 2. Some board members / delegates are not telling the truth. The most interesting part is the following:

A big bug was found and removed. Now it will not show awkward scores. I was very worried it used to show +2 benefit in equal positions. Now it show 0.02 in equal position. So the Scores will be correct as per the position of the board. That was a great Bug which give 2 pawn losses in equal positions.

Would you recommend this book for someone like me, who is still learning the basics? It sounds good since it mixes a bunch of different types of problems, but it also sounds like it might be too difficult for me since it doesn't offer much guidance. Right now I'm finding Logical Chess very fascintating, because it *does* offer guidance for every single move. Each game almost reads like a...

Fide-chess is facing a problem. Undoubtedly the game will survive, but professional chess faces a predicament due to the theoretical development. In the future, all the best lines for white and black will have been outlined, and games will revolve around memory dexterity. Already, English opening has been solved as drawn, and there is no use in playing it among professionals. Nobody plays...

I'm studying Giuoco Piano right now and I have a question about how to play when Black doesn't follow the first few moves. For example: 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 If, instead of 2...Nc3, Black plays something (other than 2...Nf6) that does not protect his e5 pawn, should White play 3 Nxe5? I mean, this is the reason you attack the pawn in the first place, but it also seems to violate the rule of moving...
