Hi,
I'm a bit of a beginner, and I keep getting beaten by opponents who move only their pawns for about the first six moves. I wonder if anyone can advise me. Unfortunately, I'm not able to replay any of these games, but the one I just played on Yahoo went something like the following (I'm white, he's black): 1. e4 e6 2. d4 c6 3. Nc3 d5 4. e5 h6 5. Nf3 a6 6. Bd3 b5 After that, I got hammered. Am I wrong to just develop my pieces in this situation? It seems that his pawn-only opening is so strong, and yet it goes against all the advice I've read about opening in chess: develop your pieces. Thanks, Mike |
