I will try this again. What I am trying to do is separate all these different discussions. Now, what is my "Delicate Sense of Timing". I put in an extra blank space into the title between of and Timing.

Neil Brennen's claim to fame is that he invented the term "Trollgar" which has been widely copied and is almost universally accepted. Now, will you stop changing the title to these threads. Note that I have changed the title. It used to be "Neil Brennen's claim to fame." I have changed it to Neil Brennen's claim to fame (no dot.)

Finally I managed to play against micro-Max. One needs to enter or key twice, after making a move. This is a neat feature because it allows you to either make moves for a while for both sides (by entering just once after each move) or making micro-Max to play against itself. Very nice!

Help Bot (White) Played: 1. e4 c5 2. Bc4 there is no opening after that. Help Bot win the game by trapping a Knight with his Bishop. I went to search for this line and found only people with low rating play Bc4. Higher Rated (2700+) player never play Bc4 Why? What was wrong with easy Level that it has to lose the Knight? Can you mark the wrong moves?

Just curious as to what is known. There was plenty of chess before the automaton came to the US, but I do not know of game scores. I have an 1827 game in which a Philadelphia lady beats the automaton (I am guessing that this is what Wikipedia means when referring to the 1st modern female player in 1830; there are certainly many female players known but they may mean this is the first game score...

Halloween Gambit: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.Nxe5?! Nxe5 I taught this gambit as the opening and Easy Level lost a knight for a Pawn and lost the match to Chrisf. Is this opening good enough or I should remove this Opening from GetClubs Book? As giving a knight for a pawn is no good.

Grant Perks Undermines Delegate Mandate, Says $120,000 in Fake Money Has Been Restored In a shocking series of postings to Susan Polgar's Chess Discussion Forum, Grant Perks stated on Saturday that the auditors had caught the error made by the delegates in placing a $50,000 cap on the amount of imaginary money the USCF office can claim to have received. Here is what Perks wrote...

Bill Brock sold me a book on eBay for one cent. Of course, he probably did not realize that he was selling it to me because the real identity of the buyer is not generally revealed until the auction is over. Also, I did not immediately realize that he was the seller when I bid on that and other chess books. The book Bill Brock boldly sold me was "The 64-Square Looking Glass: Great Games of Chess...

The $50,000 cap is a cap on the so-called "imaginary" money that the USCF is supposed to receive but does not actually get. Back when the LMA or "Life Management Assets" had two million dollars in it, every year the LMA would transfer about $100,000 to operations to service the Life Members by sending them Chess Life magazine. However, during the period 1999-2003, the entire $2 million...

I notice that Wikipedia says it is not known exactly where the term comes from, or exactly why it is used. I have an 1895 reference in which Mason uses the term, giving an exact reason for his usage, and clearly in a context where the reader is not supposed to know it as any sort of standard term. A friend has a Dutch coin from 1646 that was found in a shipwreck off South East Australia. It is a unique coin. No other has been found like it. He believes it to be worth $90,000 because the same coin from 1645 is worth that. He wants to auction it on eBay. However, he is afraid because of stories he has heard about eBay regarding coin auctions. Do you have any suggestions or advice?

Beat by a Computer on eBay Boy am I really ****ed off. I have been trying to buy a particular edition of a book for a year. Finally I saw one listed on eBay. So, on July 8, 2008 I placed a most generous bid of $150.03 for the book. The book is Bobby Fischer's Games of Chess, published by Simon & Schuster. The auction was expiring just now, at Jul-15-08 15:57:30 PDT.
