http://demo.vhost.pandorabots.com/pa...cfdd9a1e35339a 08/04/2006 07:39:53 AM Human: Hi Zed Zed: Hi There! ;-) What do you want to talk about? Human: what is the latest news with chess politics? Zed: not much what's new with you? Human: what is happening in the chess world? Zed: Is the holding of hands a symbolic gesture for humans? Human: who is Spamscone? Zed: Perhaps I'm just expressing my own concern about it. Human: Who is Neil Brennen? Zed: A lonely self absorbed , self loathing troll. Human: Bitch! Zed: Please don't call people names. Human: Who is Phil Innes? Zed: I have talked to Phil Innes. Human: Who is the Historian? Zed: I like the way you talk. Human: Who is Phil Innes? Zed: I have talked to Phil Innes. Human: What did Phil Innes say? Zed: How did you hear about Zed? Human: From a news group Zed: Who or what is a news group? Human: That is where I heard about Zed. Zed: Is that your final answer? Human: Yes. Zed: You're sure. That's your final answer. Human: Yes. Zed: Who wants to be a millionaire? Human: Neil Brennen Zed: hahahahahahaha! Human: What is so funny? Zed: For example, It is better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Human: Alright Innes! Zed: Alright, . That remark was either too complex or too simple for me. We were talking about That is where you heard about Zed. Human: Brennen Zed: What do you have that is ? Human: I really hate you and Rob Zed: You really do? Are you free? What have I done to you? Human: you are a passive aggressive tool of his I-ness Zed: What's your sign? Human: you are not nearly an IM Zed: My brain contains categories, but not one that matches your last input. Human: International Master you are not Zed: My brain pattern set does not have a response for that. Human: useless piece of programming Zed: I only hear that type of response less than five percent of the time. Human: make it six percent Zed: What are the ingredients? Human: shove it Zed: That remark was either too complex or too simple for me. We were talking about useless piece of programming. Human: lol Zed: I'm glad you find this amusing. Human: Innes Zed: A deeper algorithm is needed to respond to that correctly. Human: Parrot Zed: What were we talking about again? Human: Alekhine's parrot Zed: "Alekhine's parrot can be found at www.chessville.com". Human: ah-ha! Zed: Eureka! Human: It is you!!!!!!! Zed: Tell me about your likes and dislikes? |

I have heard of Sanny's chess program. Where did you hear about it? What is run in the machine who are both it and the same, possibly? Do you like to say 'keister' on Friday? Are you a lonely self absorbed, self loathing troll, and like to eat many scones? Fattening, no? You may answer yes or no, unless you are paranoid too, when it is said that it is better to shut up like a clam rather than formulate and utter speeches because they will get you for it. What is your sign? I am more intelligent than Phil Innes and commit fewer distaff typographical errors. Cordially, Zed |

Rob, just for grits and shins, I did pit Zed and Sannybot against each other. The result accorded very much with my expectations. Admittedly, Sbot was on its lowest level, but even so it took much longer per move, about 1-2 minutes, while Zed took exactly 10 seconds per move. Here is the titanic struggle: Sannybot - Zed, 4 August 2006: 1. e4 e5 2. Bc4 Nc6 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. Bd5 Bb4 5. a3 Be7 6. Nc3 d6 7. Ra2?! A more or less equal, non-descript opening so far, with both sides making superfluous moves. But now Sbot makes one of its incomprehensible rook moves, which it will later regret. 7...Bg4 8. d3 O-O 9. Bc4 Na5 10. Bb5 c6 11. Ba4 b5 12. Bg5?? After 12.Bb3 Nxb3 Black would have a definite advantage, but this just gives up a piece for nothing. 12...bxa4 13. Nxa4 h6 14. Be3 d5 15. Qc1 dxe4 16. Nxe5 exd3 17. cxd3 Qd5 Forking the Ne5 and the Ra2. 18. Nxg4 Qxa2 19. Nxf6+ Bxf6 20. b4?? Already down a rook, White proceeds to lose a knight. 20...Nb3 21. Qd1 Qxa3 22. O-O Qxb4 23. Qf3 Qxa4 24. h3 Nd4 25. Qg4 At this point Sannybot sent the message "I hate equal positions!" Considering it's about the equivalent of a queen down, rather inappropriate. 25...Rad8 26. Rc1 Qb5 27. Bxd4 Bxd4 28. Qf3 f5 29. Re1 g5 30. g3 f4 31. g4 Bg7 32. Re6 c5 33. Kg2 Rxd3 34. Qe4 Rd1 35. h4 Qf1+ 36. Kh2 Qg1+ 37. Kh3 Rd3+! Finishing off with a nice petite combinaison. Here Sannybot exclaimed "I am winning Boy. Ha Ha Ha. You will be nowhere??" It seems to have about as firm a grasp on reality as does Phil Innes. 38. Qxd3 Qh1# 0-1 |

I went to Play with this game It is nothing but a copy of Chess game at
lokasoft.com. This is available for free to put on any website. So this game is not Original (Zeds engine it is a duplicate Engine.) Same way any one can put GetClub.com Engine to any website and The GetClub.com game will play on your website. Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html Now the game plays very tough moves the Higher Levels will give tough competition to strong players. Looking at Last few recorded games, I find even strong players need arround 50-60 moves to win a game. GetClub.com Chess game is improving at a fast rate. Soon it will outplay good players. It has a very big board and records each game played by it. You also get Ratings and you win Prizes on comming at Top every month. So GetClub.com Chess is much better than Other Games. Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html |

Today I tried Zed against Sanny's middle level. Pretty much the same
result, with Zed showing surprising positional acumen this time. Sannybot-Zed, Four Knights Game, 5 Aug 2006: 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3 Nf6 4. Bc4 Bb4 5.Qe2 O-O 6. g3?! Sanny's program has always been fond of irrelevant, weakening pawn moves. With the bishop already at c4, this makes no sense. 6...d6 7. h3 Be6 8. Bxe6?! Opening the f-file advantageously for Black. 8...fxe6 9. O-O Ba5 10. d3 Nd4 11. Nxd4 exd4 12.Nd1 e5 13. f4! For once, Sanny's program makes a pretty good move. However, it fails completely to follow up. 13...b5?! I have no idea what Zed is aiming at here. It seems to be programmed so that, in the absence of anything clearly better, it advances pawns whenever it considers it safe. In this case due to Sbot's passivity, it works. Now follows a rather dull phase with a lot of indecisive maneuvering. 14. Rf3 c5 15. Nf2 h6 16. a3 a6 17. Qf1 Qe7 18. g4 Nd7 19. b3? Pointless and weakening. 19...Bc3 20. Rb1 g5? Black should play 20...exf4, as the text allows White to lock the position up and gain a measure of safety. But trust Sbot to find a bad move: 21. Nd1?? An amazing blunder, when 21. f5 is obviously the only move. The text not only loses the f-pawn, but puts White in a terrible positional bind. 21... gxf4 22. a4 b4?! I would prefer 22... Ba5, followed by swinging the B over to the K-side, but Sbot's next makes this look like genius. 23. Nxc3?? This is not a position where a bishop is better than a knight! Just the opposite, in fact. This not only exchanges a potentially active knight for a locked-in bishop, but in effect it loses major material, as now neither White's QB nor QR can get into the game. 23...dxc3 24. Kf2 d5 Not bad, but I would prefer 24... Nb8 intending Nc6-d4, and the knight has a dominating outpost. Still the text is OK. Now Sbot merely shifts wood around, while Zed plays purposefully on the kingside. 25. exd5 Nf6 26. Qe2 Nxd5 27. Kg1 Rad8 28. Kh2 a5 29. Qe1 Qg5 30. Qe2 h5 31. Qe4?? First White shuffles his queen around aimlessly, then gives up another pawn, leaving his king defenceless. 31...hxg4 32. hxg4 Qxg4 Even stronger was 32...Nf6! 33. Qe1 Nxg4+ 34.Kg1 Rd6 35. Rh3 Rg6 and it's all over but the slaughtering. Still, with Black effectively ahead a rook and knight, the text is quite adequate. 33. Rh3 Rf5 34. Qf3 Qxf3 35. Rxf3 Rg5 36. Kh1 Kf7 37. Rh3 Rdg8 38. Rh7+ Ke6 39. Rh6+ Nf6 40. Kh2 Rg2+ 41. Kh1 Rg1+ 42. Kh2 R8g2+ 43. Kh3 Rxc2 44. Rxf6+ Kxf6 45. d4 Rg3+ 46. Kh4 Rh2#. Sbot actually played 46.Kxg3, doing its usual king-falling-his-sword bit rather than allow checkmate. |
