Odd opening. Why did both kings walk to safety instead of castling?

22. g5 hxg5
23. Nxg5+ Kg8
24. Qf3 Ra8 25. Rc2 Qd8 26. Bb5 Qf8 27. Qd3 Nh7 28. Nf3 Ra7 29. Rg3 Nf6 30.
Ng5 Nh5
31. Rf3 Be5+ 32. Kg1 Nf6 33. Qf1 Rh4 34. Qd3 Bb7 35. Kg2 Qa8 36. Re3 e6 37.
dxe6 Nxe4
38. exf7+ Kg7 39. Ne6+ Kxf7 40. f4 Kxe6

What was wrong with Nxd2+?

41. fxe5 Qf8 42. Rf3 Qxf3+ 43. Kxf3
Rxh3+
44. Ke2 Rxd3 45. Bxd3 Kxe5 46. Bxe4 Bxe4

So Qf3+ ended up being just a fancy way to liquidate. Black must have
missed something stronger, no?

0-1
