I would say it is at least not playing as stupidly as it used to,
but still not very intelligently. Due to Sanny's claim that his
program had recently beaten "the strongest computer program in the
world," I decided to pit it against my home version of Fritz8. The
game was really no contest, but Fritz did come up with some amusing
tactical strokes, including a queen sacrifice:

White: Sanny's program (at "normal" level)
Black: Fritz8 (in blitz mode -- the numbers following each move are
the time each machine took, in seconds)

1. Nf3 Nf6 2. Nc3 {127} d5 {0} 3. d4 {205} g6 {0} 4. Bg5 {180} Bg7 {0}
5. Qd3 {211} O-O {8} 6. O-O-O {477} Re8 {0} 7. e4? {118} -- Perhaps
the losing move. Fritz now shows its greatly superior calculating
ability. 7...dxe4 {19} 8. Nxe4 {157} Bf5 {0} -- A very troublesome
pin. White can't break it by 9.Nxf6+, since 9...exf6 wins a piece. 9.

Sanny did not claim his program can beat Fritz8.

He claimed that it had already beaten "the strongest computer program in
the world".

This was a computer program which controls heavy-lifting cranes on the
Seattle docks. When pitted against Sanny's program in a game of chess,
it was no contest.

I think you should compare Getclub1 with Fritz1.

There are a few things

1. Java is 10 times slower than Native Chess.
2. Applets are again 2-3 times slower.

So GetClub Chess was taking 20 times more time.

However I think my game is for general players not for Matching
against Computer. If you want real credit beat the Master Level
without help from Fritz8 or Fritz10.

Zebediah and Nomorechess has beaten Master Level, How about you? I
think you can too.

Tell me the mistakes in the game so that I remove them and make a
stronger opponent for Players playing it.

That was another Java Program which boast of being strongest in the
world. My Program was able to beat it becauase that made a blunder and

Fritz and Rybka I have not tested. Once my Program starts beating good
players like nomorechess, yourself, bob & Zebediah. Then I will test
it against Fritz & Rybka.

Now it do not make silly moves. Now you told it is not playing

you think were wrong.

Perhaps there is a material limit which triggers the
program to resign? I find it hard to believe that Sanny's
program can spot a mate-in-four, since it nearly always
has trouble finding mate-in-one against itself in my
games.

Does Fritz8 have a way of weakening the program to
USCF-rating equivalents? If it does, you might be able
to give some kind of estimate for the strength of the
program at GetClub.

Personally, I find it very hard to estimate, because at
times I feel I am playing a tactically dangerous computer,
yet at other times I feel like I am playing Sanny himself.
