A few things were adjusted. The game will play like earlier and will
not spend time on long calculations. Lets see if the game plays better. Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html However, I was able to beat Beginner Level. Higher Levels will play very good moves. Nomorechess said his computer gets disconnect regularly. I feel the game needs connection only when it is making its move. So incase the Game disconnects reconnect it but do it before it makes its move. It only access internet when a move is to be made by you or Computer. Play a game at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html I advice strong players to play with Easy & Normal Level. Beginner Level is only for people who have just learned Chess. Even if it has not found any good move it will play the move as soon as time has arrived. I hope this will make everyone happy. As Program will make its move as soon as Time Arrives. Play a few game and see it is always playing in time. So no more waits and time Problem. Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html |

Level is only for people who have just learned Chess. soon as Time Arrives. Play a few game and see it is always playing in time. So no more waits and time Problem. Okay... I played it again today, and I'd say the Easy Level is easier to beat, since I was able to defeat it ![]() One piece of feedback, though... It allowed me to make an illegal move... It didn't affect the outcome of the game, as I had the advantage, but take a look and see my pawn promotion... I picked up the pawn on C7, and in an effort to make an illegal move (to de-select it, since I didn't mean to click on it) I dropped it on A6... GetChess allowed the move, *and* allowed me to upgrade to a Queen... on A6... then allowed me to continue the game from there. TrekNoid |

Over the years, I've read a lot about "dynamic" players and "enterprising" play, but nobody ever explained exactly what those was supposed to mean; now, I think I finally have it figured out. ;D Seriously, if you grab a piece and then decide on another move, you can (very carefully!) just click on the new piece and then on its destination square, since the program will not allow you to capture your own man. And what do you mean, it didn't affect the outcome because you had the advantage? I have had the advantage against all sorts of players, from Unrated and Class E to Grandmaster -- this is no guarantee of the eventual outcome! In fact, those pesky weak players are very good at hanging *every* one of their men, which can lead to a stalemate if you're not very careful (just ask Zebediah). In the case of an illegal move, you are supposed to go back and replay the game from the point where the illegality occurred. (This means that I have around two dozen or so games to replay, but they were just "zapped" by Sanny to shut me up.) -- help bot |

Which was Corrected today. Now it will not allow you to Queen wrongly. Bye Sanny Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html |
