Whoever told you that Americans don't have a freedom of expression

a freedom to be utterly wrong lied to you.

You only have to look at the whole Fishcer case to see that he is being
persecuted for his opinions and his way of expressing them, and that
proves that in the USA you can express your opinions if, and only if,
they conform with the norms of society and the policy of the government.

Yes, please, look at the whole Fischer case and realize that his
situation does not fit within the broad context of merely expressing his
opinions. Free speech is not universal.

It's one thing to disagree with US policy, and voice displeasure.
Contrary to what you think, many in the United States actively oppose
our policies in North Africa and Southwest and Central Asia, and are not
persecuted for their views. It is, however, quite another thing to
advocate mass murder:

BF: "Finish off the US once and for all... You know what I'm really
hoping for Pablo? ... Arrest all the Jews, execute hundreds of thousands
of Jewish Ringleaders... Kill off all the Jews over there in the bandit
state, you know, of Israel"

Mister Fischer also states that if the US government does not comply
with what he, Bobby Fischer, believes is the correct course of national
policy, then "...the US has to be destroyed." Does the nation of
Iceland tolerate statements like these made against its government?
Does any nation?
