Default Problems with ChessBases's Media Player

Every time I try to use the media player on either Shredder or Hiarcs,
either with a DVD or a CD, the presentation quits after about two
minutes and I get the message, Program Discontinued, you may lose what
you are working on. The the whole presentation then immediately shuts
down. The computer is a recently purchased Dell wit XP and the programs
have been patched. CB, are you there? Any ideas about how to fix
this??

* It's your fault.
* It's your computer's fault.
* You don't have enough memory.
* Your mouse is the wrong color.
* I never heard of such nonsense. I have all 12 versions of CB running
simultaneously on a 286 with 12 MB of RAM and I never have a problem
* How can you complain about CB's customer support? They're excellent. They
respond to your first email after 10 days, then ignore all subsequent
communication.
* What more do you expect for $300??
* Hey man, CB is a European company. Europe is more civilized than the US.
Be civilized too and shut up already
* How can you expect those poor programmers to get it right after only nine
major versions?

I've never seen anyone from Chessbase post here so I wouldn't necessarily
assume that anyone from the company reads these groups. If nobody here is
able to help you, you should contact Chessbase customer support directly.

Dave.
