Yes, I knew to what you were referring. No, the software believes that I
have one CPU (which I do, but it is two logical CPUs due to hyperthreading). Is it enabled in the BIOS? Does your OS support it? Can you see two cpus in task manager? -- GCP |

As the engine Deep Sjeng supports HT, I assumed every engine can use it.
Only multiprocessor engines can. But it seems it needs some additional code to use HT. No (but it helps to have it). I found this: http://web.quick.cz/EVCOMP/evcpu.htm#HT Bummer. That page is a severe piece of misinformation. -- GCP |

It shows two CPUs when you look in device manager. Also, it works as a dual CPU machine under FreeBSD 5.1 (I have yet to try it with Linux). Tom Veldhouse |
