Hi folks. I'm looking for a manual for a chess computer made by Saitek
called the Turbo Advanced Trainer.

It came with the training book that you can see in the picture, but this
book doesn't really tell what the buttons do. I'm assuming it
originally came with a separate users manual of some sort. If you've
got one you'd like to sell or know where I could download an electronic
version, I'd appreciate it.

OK, here goes:

Keys, Light and Features

Play
Execute next move. Pressing this key when it is your turn causes the
computer to play the next move for you, pressing it when the computer is
thinking interrupts the thought process.

NEW GAME
Press to reset to the start position for a new game

LEVEL
Press to select level of skill.

STOP
Press to turn off the computer. The current position is saved in memory

GO
Press to switch the computer on. Play is resumed at the point where the
STOP key was pressed.

TAKE BACK
Press to take back last move. Up to 34 individual moves can be retracted.

NON AUTO
Used to enter a sequence of moves.

COACH
Press to set coach level (E, F, G or H).
Where F = Half Coach (Blunder Warning on)
Where E = Full Coach (Blunder and attacked piece warning on)
Where H = Silent (No Sound, No Coach)
Where G = Normal (Normal Sounds, No Coach)

SET UP
Enter set up mode to change or enter positions

INFO
Press to get advice from the computer and evaluate current board position

COLOR
Used to select color of piece being verified or set up

LIGHTS

WHITE/BLACK
Side to move. When the computer is thinking the appropriate color lamp
flashes

CHECK
King in check

END
End of Game

SET UP
A position is being entered or modified

NON AUTO
The computer acts as a referee and advisor

COACH
A coach level is being selected or modified

INFO
A suggestion is given.

FEATURES

Piece Keys
Use to choose promoted pieces, verify board position and set up new
positions

Sensor Chessboard
Each square has a sensor that registers piece movement.

ACL Switch
(In base of set, to reset)

LEVELS
Casual Levels (A1-B8 inclusive)

which a 1sec/move, 2secs/move, 3secs/move, 5secs/move, 10secs/move,
15secs/move, 20secs/move, 30secs/move, 45secs/move, 60secs/move,
90secs/move, 2mins/move, 3mins/move, 5mins/move, 10mins/move, Infinite (will
search till interrupted)

Tournament Levels (C1-C8 inclusive)

which a 40 moves in 90 mins, 35 moves in 105 mins, 40 moves in 105 mins,
35 moves in 90 mins, 40 moves in 120 mins, 45 moves in 150 mins, 50 moves in
120 mins, 40 moves in 180 mins.

Sudden Death Levels (D1-D8 inclusive)

which a 5 mins/game, 10 mins/game, 15 mins/game, 20 mins/game, 30
mins/game, 45 mins/game, 60 mins/game, 90 mins/game.

Beginner Levels (E1-E8 inclusive)

which a 1 sec/move, 2 secs/move to 8 secs/move.

Mate Search (F1-F8 inclusive)

which a Mate in 1 to Mate in 8.

Training Levels (G1 to H8 inclusive)

which a Search Depth: 1 ply @ G1 to Search Depth: 16 ply @ H8

The INFO key.

If you press INFO while the computer is thinking, the lights on the left
hand side of the board will show you what it thinks of the current position,
ie:

Light

8 - White has a winning position
7 - White has a clearly better position
6 - White has an advantage
5 - The position is balanced
4 - The position is balanced
3 - Black has an advantage
2 - Black has a clearly better position
1 - Black has a winning position

If you press INFO when it is your turn to move, the computer will suggest a
move for you.

To setup a board position, press SET UP to put the computer into setup mode,
the light should come on.
To remove a piece press it down on its current square and remove it.

To add a new piece first select the color (by pressing COLOR). Now press
the appropriate piece key and press the new piece on an empty square.

Pressing SETUP then NEW GAME clears the board of all pieces.
