Installing Shredder 7.04
Would someone be able to help me installing Shredder 7.04?
I have run the 'setup shredder 704 uci.exe' file,and put the resulting 'Engine704.exe' file in the Chessbase\engines folder. When I run this file, a DOS box opens, but nothing happens. Is there something obvious that I am doing wrong?? Thanks for any advice. -- RocketMan

You run it from either chessbase or fritz interface.

Yeah, thanks Johnny T.
I noticed after posting that the file ended with uci. I ran the 'Engine704.exe' file under 'Create UCI engine', and now of course I have the Shredder 7.04 engine added to my engine list. Doh! More time looking at the file before posting I think next time! Thanks again. All the Shredder engines seem to use both processors in my dual core Athlon 4800+. I will be interested to see how they compare to Fritz, Junior etc running on my system, as the latter engines only utilize one of the cores in the processor. -- RocketMan "Johnny T" wrote in message ...
