Hi All
I am using Mac OS 10.3 and have downloaded and installed Jose Chess version 1.3.3.Everything seems to be working fine and I like what I see but I do have an unusual problem that hopefully another Mac user has encountered or someone can help out with a possable solution or workaround The problem is the programme will not close with the normal "file/quit" option and the only way I can shut down the programme on my machine is go to the "Apple" menu and use "force quit" Which I imagine is not supposed to be the case. So any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks IanJ -- Please put out "TheFire" to reply via e-mail |

Hello Ian, could you please send me the contents of the file "error.log" ? What happens if you use the "jose/Quit" menu entry ? The best place to report bugs is on the jose-chess.sourceforge.net project site. Please note that jose is not developed on a Mac, so Mac support might be lagging a bit... Regards, Peter |

Hello Peter
could you please send me the contents of the file "error.log" ? What happens if you use the "jose/Quit" menu entry ? Unfortunatly I cannot find an "error.log".I can only assume that as I am having to force it to quit;it is not generating one sorry about that. Please note that jose is not developed on a Mac, so Mac support might be lagging a bit... Understood but it is going to be interesting when it catches up :-) IanJ -- Please put out "TheFire" to reply via e-mail |

Hi all,
I have the same problem. The error log does not get filled by this error and no other system error file gets filled (as far as I could notive). When looking at the processes however, I notice that for a few seconds after the quit menu is selected, the jave runtime does take some processor power. After this initial action, the cursor does spindle on the application but no processor power is taken anymore. I did not configure a MySQL database yet next to Jose but have a standard MySQL running on my system. I use 10.3. Any help in turning debugging on appreciated. Yves |
