Chessmaster 10th Edition

Default Chessmaster 10th Edition

Chessmaster for kids, IMO.
Same old **** in a new package... No Staunton 2D pieces either, if the
demo is anything to go by. As for online play, it's going to be
infested with kids/rookies/cheats, because of the newbie segment the
program caters to.

All in all a good buy if you've never used a newer Chessmaster version
but if you own anything starting from CM 6000, you can safely give
this turkey a miss. These guys really need to sack some of their
interface programmers and hire some serious chess programmers.

You said that right. I had CM6000 (and most back to 2000 or before), skipped
7000, had 8000, and skipped 9000. Now I'll probably skip the even as well as
the odd numbers. Too bad. That engine programmer is worthy of a better GUI.

I was also disappointed in CM 6000, and CM9000. However the tutorials were
good, and the engine is very strong.
