In message , Sanny writes Here is a game with Help Bot. I do not understand why Normal Level gave away its pawn for no reasion? By playing 12. d5 Black played 12..... cxd5 and won a pawn. Is it a correct move only advantage white got is Black Pawns become Double It is weaker than it needs to be. Material was given away for nothing. Almost any normal developing move or O-O-O would be better. It wasn't a good move but it didn't cause much trouble either. You would have to look into the alpha-beta tree to see why that node was considered good. I expect getting a check may have played a part. Pawn and Isolated. And Black was able to give Check to Help Bot. Is Normal Level playing wrong moves.? It didn't do too badly this time considering the shallow search depth. It was eventually outplayed in the endgame transition when it could have held a draw had it found exactly the right moves. 12. d4-d5{196} c6-d5{64} {Is it a correct move by white} Any of Kd2, Be3, Nf3, O-O-O, Bc4, c3, h3 are playable with advantage. d5 which just gives away a pawn is well down the move ranking. 13. Bf1-b5{222} Ke8-e7{78} I think it is a bit too inclined to go for spite checks. However, for much of this game Getclub didn't really do anything wrong. 38. Ka2-b1{152} g5-g4{46} 39. h3-g4{116} Rc8-g8{72} Hxg4 is a mistake since whites pieces are a bit tied down. Leaving it be and playing Ka2 is better. 40. a3-a4{174} Bc3-b4{64} Black would be better with Be5 here. But at this point getclubs game falls apart and it resorts to spite checks to delay what it sees as its inevitable demise. This is a pity because the most obvious move here would probably hold the draw despite the apparent R vs B advantage to black there are enough pawns to hold onto. 41. e4-e5{106} d6-e5{26} 42. g4-g5{98} Kf6-g5{50} Loses 2 pawns to no useful purpose (except horizon effect). Instead the sequence of play should be : 41. Nxb4 Rb8 42. c3 a5 43. Ka2 axb4 44. cxb4 Rxb4 45. Ka3 And I think the game is drawn. Almost any normal developing move or O-O-O would be better. It wasn't a good move but it didn't cause much trouble either. Here is the detail of Why it hang the pawn. 1. It calculated 1/2 Point for Double Pawn 2. It gave 1/2 point for king comming out to second rank without Chastling. So it equate 1/2 + 1/2 points to cover the Pawn loss. That is way too optimistic. 1/4 pawn for the double pawns at most (probably less). And about the same again for the loss of castling rights. It was about 1/2 to 1/3 pawn down with the move played.
